An interactive installation and exhibition about smart homes, and user response to pervasive technologies entering our private spaces. The installation aims to further the research that Casa Jasmina is carrying out regarding social home environment from an open design and user centered perspective.
In order to deeply understand the impact of IoT in the house for the possible stakeholders, an interactive system of four mini-printers will be set up at Palazzo Clerici. Each printer will be connected to Casa Jasmina GitHub repository where users will be able to respond to questions and spark new avenues to the project. The feedback gained will inform new types of interactions and approaches to the future smart home, that will reflow in the Casa Jasmina design process. GIT-COMMIT has been developed with Genuino MKR1000, a powerful board that combines Genuino Zero features and Wi-Fi shield to create IoT projects.
DATA AND PRIVACY
IS THERE ANITHYNG ABOUT YOUR LIFE YOU WOULD NEVER SHARE ONLINE?
In the house of the future would you share the information about your everyday activities and habits with other people? Are you willing to share the conversations you have with your relatives, flatmates, friends? The times you use an object or piece of furniture? Your sleeping behaviours? The food you eat? The tv series you watch?
What are three objects you would like to find at Casa Jasmina that would make the apartment more familiar to you?
What objects make a space feel like a home? What makes it more familiar to you? What makes your stay in a place more comfortable? What sparks good memories at home?
What do you imagine smart furniture to be like?
What does smart furniture mean to you?? How could a smart table enhance your work experience? Or your dining experience? What information would you access if your bedroom or kitchen could talk with you or with each other?
